You’re gonna have to look for this…..
In order to find these.
Publika arrays a variety of artworks to decorate it’s surroundings. It’s a hodge-podge of various art styles and content, so one can usually just have fun digesting the variety.
One that caught my eye was hidden in the G2 toilet area of Publika. A quick view made them look like a series of Balinese-themed B&W panels, which is a cool decor by itself.
There’s plenty of detail inside, rendering architecture and stylized characters.
The decor extends inside the toilet areas.
The characters portrayed on the doors were dynamic in composition, and quite cool to look at.
It possible the ladies’s section has some cool characters on their door. Since they’re out of bounds for me, I have no idea how they look like.
The feel of action on some of the panels is quite strong. I noted that this panel seemed very comics-like in presentation, with a cartoonish-proportioned character which sequentially launched himself into an epic battle scene.
That’s when I looked at adjacent panels and I realized the whole damn thing IS a comic. They’re so stylized it wasn’t immediately obvious, but they are arranged in sequence and they are telling a particular story.
It’s a shame you can only see this if you happened to choose one of many toilets in Publika. They’re pretty cool. I wonder how comic art is commissioned to be put up in Publika.
